From November 13th to 15th 2023 Professor Koundouri as elected Member of Board of WAAS hosted and participated the Strategic Planning Meeting of World Academy of Art and Science (WAAS) board members in Greece, at the emblematic building of Academy of Athens.
The three-day meeting was fruitful and highly productive, focused on key objectives, including gaining a deep understanding of the mission and values, envisioning future development, formulating strategic objectives, identifying assessment criteria, exploring high-potential areas, outlining steps for organizational development, engaging members in plan execution, and making crucial decisions to guide the continued activities and financing of the 2024 strategic plan.
Professor Koundouri, presented the AE4RIA’ projects about suntainable Pathways for Seas and Oceans like “Black Sea Accelerator” a program that supports the scaling up of sustainable businesses operating in the Blue Economy across the Black Sea by offering services to strengthen market analysis and develop successful business models, pitching capacity, and matchmaking opportunities with funding and investments and “MENA Maritime Accelerator” a program that through its vast network of collaborators, will offer participating start-ups funding, training, peer to peer coaching and theme-specific mentoring.
