On Wednesday, September 18 took place the annual Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) Network Chairs Meeting – a pivotal opportunity for SDSN Chairs to debate ideas and connect with peers from over 56 networks worldwide. This gathering featured strategic discussions, explores innovative ways of working, and addresses challenging issues together.
Prof. Koundouri As Chair of the SDSN Global Climate Hub and Co-Chair of SDSN Europe and SDSN Greece, presented our work at AE4RIA – Alliance of Excellence for Research and Innovation on Αephoria focused on sustainable cities and universities, including developing localized metrics for tracking SDG progress across regions, cities, universities, and businesses, as well as assessing universities’ impact through their education, research, outreach, and governance efforts. She also discussed how the SDSN Global Climate Hub is working to accelerate SDG action and enhance research for sustainable development. Our approach involves crafting national and regional strategies for climate neutrality and resilience, integrating policy, technology, and financial tools, and leveraging an AI-driven platform, innovation accelerators, and a training hub to strengthen stakeholder capabilities.
