On Wednesday, December 13th 2023, the PES Chapter IEEE NTUA SB and the Alliance of Excellence for Research and Innovation on Αephoriaco-organized a workshop that took place at National Technical University of Athens, Greece. There, researchers from AE4RIA team presented the SDSN Global Climate Hub, focusing on the Science-based Solutions Pathways for Climate Neutrality and Climate. The workshop aimed to introduce the participants to the Financial-Economic, Social and Environmental aspects of Sustainability.
Prof. Phoebe Koundouri, Professor Athens University of Economics and Business & Technical University of Denmark; President European Association of Environmental Resource Economists, Chair World Council of Environmental Resource Economists Associations, Chair UN Sustainable Development Solution Network Global Climate Hub, gave a Keynote Speech on “UN SDSN Global Climate Hub”. Dr. Kostas Dellis, Post-Doctoral Researcher at ATHENA RC and Dr. Mariatzela Chatzigiannakou, Post- Doctoral researcher at Athens University of Economics and Business presented the Modelling Sustainable Pathways using BALMOREL and FABLE. Ms Lydia Papadaki, PhD candidate at the Athens University of Economics and Business presented the principles of Circular Economy, Dr. Georgina Spyres, Proposals Coordinator at AE4RIA, Scientific Associate at Athena RC, co-manager of SDSN Greece presented the Education and Sustainability Courses of AE4RIA, Dr. Conrad Landis, Post-Doc Researcher at the Research Laboratory on Socio-Economic and Environmental Sustainability (RESEES) presented the financing tools for a sustainable transition and Dr. Ebun Akinsete, Senior Researcher at ATHENA RC and UN SDSN Greece. She is an Associate Lecturer at the School of Applied Social Studies, Robert Gordon University (Aberdeen), and Senior Partner with Nigerian-based consultancy presented the Systems Innovation Approach.
