The Closing Plenary of SBCA 2025 brought the Athens conference to a thoughtful and forward-looking conclusion. Professor Dr. Phoebe Koundouri, Scientific Lead of SBCA 2025, opened the session with final reflections, thanking participants for their active engagement and emphasizing the central role of rigorous benefit–cost analysis in shaping effective, evidence-based public policy. Daniel Herrera, Vice President of SBCA, then outlined the Society’s mission and global scope, highlighting its growth and ongoing commitment to strengthening BCA theory and practice across disciplines and countries. Henrik Andersson, Associate Editor of the Journal of Benefit-Cost Analysis, presented the Journal and its contribution to advancing high-quality research in the field. Finally, Danae Arroyos Calvera announced that the 2026 European SBCA Conference will be hosted by Leeds University Business School in Leeds on 17–18 September 2026, inviting the community to reconvene and continue the conversation next year.
