On the 11th of February 2022, Prof. Phoebe Koundouri participated at the Stakeholder and Expert Meeting on Twinning Digital and Green Transition, organized by the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC). This meeting was a part of the on-going foresight process that the JRC is leading, which contributes to the preparation of the 2022 Annual Strategic Foresight Report that will be adopted by the College before the summer break. The Commission’s annual foresight reports draw on the work and resources of the JRC. This year, the Commission will publish a Communication supported by a scientific report from the JRC.
For this work, Prof. Koundouri was invited to take part in as President of EAERE and joined the interactive online meeting in which they discussed further the process behind the 2022 report, the next phases of the report drafting and the key interfaces between green and digital technologies per sector and the systemic view and non-technological factors were presented and discussed.
