Last Friday, June 2nd, Professor Phoebe Koundouri deliver an invited lecture titled: “Strategic and Financial Approaches for the Joint Implementation of the 17 SDGs and the European Green Deal” at the Universidad Autónoma de Yucatán UADY in Mexico.
Professor Koundouri, shared her invaluable knowledge and expertise on how we can effectively tackle global challenges by integrating the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the European Green Deal and how to strengthen civil society engagement in climate action, the energy transition, and green finance. In addition, she introduced to the audience the SDSN Global Climate Hub and underlying modelling supporting the development of energy and transport systems decarbonization pathways, together with land use and ocean use climate neutrality and resilience pathways, at national and regional level.
The lecture was an opportunity for students, faculty, and guests to explore the complexities of sustainability and innovative strategies for a greener future.
