We are thrilled to announce that the EXCEED Project’s online Kick-Off meeting, held on the 16th of June, was an inspiring event that marked the beginning of an incredible journey toward achieving excellence in green and digital manufacturing! The primary objectives of the EXCEED project include:
- Curricula Development: Empowering learners with the relevant skills and knowledge required to thrive in the ever-evolving industry.
- International Observatory: Providing a platform for global collaboration, sharing best practices, and staying at the forefront of green and digital manufacturing advancements.
- ECO-DIGITAL Innovation in AM: Pioneering the integration of eco-friendly practices with digital technologies in Additive Manufacturing (AM).
- Talent Factory: Establishing a dedicated hub to foster and nurture skilled talent within the industry.
- Internationalization of VET: Expanding cooperation and collaboration in Vocational Education and Training (VET) on a global scale.
During the meeting, Prof Phoebe Koundouri presented the breadth of work of the SDU, Athena RC, highlighting the importance of upskilling and reskilling for the twin transition, especially mentioning Athena RC’s partnership with the UN SDSN. Dr Georgina Spyres presented the Communications and Dissemination work package which Athena RC will be leading facilitating the impact and exploitation of the project.
