On the 17th of October, Prof. Koundouri gave the opening speech at the Huawei DigitALL Night of HUAWEI CONNECT 2022 PARIS which took place at the Palais des Congrès de Paris, France.
DigitALL Night is a vibrant Talent Flagship Event specifically created for University Students studying STEM or ICT topics & young people in Europe with an interest in technology and digital life & work. The aim is to inspire the participants with great presentations, exciting discussions around digitalization and green technology, and to bring them together with digital Opinion Leaders and ICT industry experts from across Europe.
During her speech, Prof. Koundouri focused on today’s challenges with an eye on solutions, actions, and ideas as well as on the recently launched SDSN Global Climate Hub that she chairs.
“Due to the influence of unprecedented pace of technological advancement and the need to mitigate and adapt to the climate change and biodiversity collapse crises, a significant proportion of the jobs of the future, will be never-seen-before jobs in the spectrum of the green and digital transformation. How do we engage the society in this transformation? How do we equip the labor force and especially the youth, with the knowledge and skills needed?”
