On 23/1 Prof. Koundouri gave a speech at the conference “Innovation in Greece and the bodies that support it” organized by the National Bank of Greece, Athens Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation | AUEB, Archimedes – Center for Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship of NKUA, Uni.Fund, Bayer Hellas AG and Endeavor Greece.
Prof. Koundouri introduced the two EIT Climate KIC HUB Greece accelerator programs: (1) The National EIT Climate KIC accelerator focused on innovations that enable the transition to a climate neutral economy, and (2) The European Maritime Accelerator with the mission to establish a Global Maritime Accelerator to support and develop start-ups which will provide solutions to the challenges of decarbonisation of shipping and achieve maximum climate impact; whilst scaling up to become a global initiative with multiplying effects.
In closing Prof. Koundouri referred to the National Cross-KIC initiative for a close network of collaboration between EIT Climate, EIT Digital, EIT Food, EIT Health, EIT InnoEnergy, EIT Manufacturing, EIT RawMaterials, EIT Urban Mobility, in order to achieve a faster and bigger enabling impact on the Green Innovation Ecosystem.
