Climathon is a city-based programme that offers a clear pathway to action and interaction – an opportunity for cities and citizens to co-create local ideas to shared climate challenges. At the core of the programme is an ideathon powered by local organisers; the people who know their cities and climate challenges the best.
Are you bustling with ideas? Do you feel you have a voice in reversing climate change for your city? Join a Climathon near you and make your ideas come to life.
In 24 hours, you will be asked to provide solutions for the toughest environmental challenges of your city and claim awards, such as tablets, meeting with the mayor, hard drives and headphones!
This weekend our Cluster on Sustainability Transition (Climate-KIC GR, UN SDSN Greece and Resees, Research Laboratory AUEB) together with the Municipality of Thiva successfully organized Climathon Thiva.
The event was welcomed by Prof. Phoebe Koundouri, Athens University of Economics and Business, President-Elect European Association of Environmental and Resource Economists, George D. Anastasiou, mayor of Thiva, Lambros I. Koutsikos, Director of Secondary Education, Boeotia Pref. and Maria Loloni, EIT Climate-KIC Shipping Program Manager.
