On 26th September prof. Phoebe Koundouri gave a keynote speech focused on “European Sustainability Transition: Policy and Vision” at the 20th annual Corporate Responsibility Conference, Headwinds which organizes by the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce at the Grand Hyatt Athens Hotel in a hybrid fashion.
Prof. Koundouri emphasized the need for increasing the capacity of Businesses and Financial Institutions to engage in a profitable green and digital transition. This entails a holistic and systemic transformation of the value chain of their products and services, which will allow them to benefit from the wealth of opportunities that are provided by (a) technological progress and (b) the European Green Deal policy framework.
The conference was an impactful celebration of American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce (AmChamGR’s) 20-year contribution to the Greek Sustainability Ecosystem. Headwinds focused on dialogue of the turbulent conditions that business and private citizens alike must endure, adapt, preserve and the essential mindset for embracing change and turning planetary and human needs into corporate purpose.
