“POLITEIA” International Conference of Political Scientists

On 27th, 28th and 29th September 2019,“POLITEIA”, an International Conference of Political Scientists, was organized by the Hellenic Association of Political Scientists under the auspices of H.E. the President of the Hellenic Republic Mr Prokopios Pavlopoulos. The conference was officially supported by the European Commission (Representation in Greece) and by the United Nations Regional Information Centre of Greece and Cyprus. It was held with the support of the Central Union of Municipalities in Greece and hosted by Zappeion Megaron while significant audience attended. The main focus of the Conference was on the present and the future of EU and the role of political scientists in the analysis of both the European state of play and the rising challenges. Researchers from all fields of social sciences participated to offer interdisciplinary approaches to the topics of the conference. Antonios Alevizos MA PhD C., Deputy Manager of UN SDSN Greece, presented the relationship between social equality and sustainable development and the contribution of the UNSDSN Greece in the above relationship.
