Professor Phoebe Koundouri, one of 48 distinguished women leaders in the Women Climate Leaders Network (WCLN), participated in its annual gathering in Luxembourg from March 5–7, 2025, held alongside the EIB Group Forum 2025.
Launched by the European Investment Bank (EIB), the WCLN brings together women leaders from 27 EU countries to shape climate policy, finance, and sustainable development. As a member of the WCLN working group on Greening SMEs and Green Innovation, Professor Koundouri contributed to policy recommendations aimed at helping small and mid-sized businesses adopt greener practices. Her research team, AE4RIA, developed two innovative tools—AE4RIA Metrix for ESG integration and AE4RIA AI Skills for sustainability workforce mapping—designed to enhance business sustainability. These tools were included in the working group’s published recommendations.
