At the Hydrogen Conference 2025, experts from Greece and Denmark shared cutting-edge insights on hydrogen production, energy systems, and Power-to-X technologies.
The session featured:
Dr. Stavros Solomos (Academy of Athens), who presented Greece’s national RES strategy, emphasizing the country’s potential to serve as a “green energy bridge” connecting Southern Europe to Central and Northern markets.
Prof. Marie Münster (DTU – Technical University of Denmark, DTU Management), who addressed the challenges of uncertainty in Power-to-X technologies and called for adaptive energy policies that align with volatile market dynamics.
Theis Utoft Madsen (PhD Candidate, DTU Management), who highlighted how the availability of renewable energy and biomass affects the feasibility of green fuel production.
Dr. Ioannis Kountouris (DTU – Technical University of Denmark and Blue Power Partners), who introduced innovative modeling approaches incorporating geographic parameters to optimize the production of hydrogen and ammonia, pointing to cost and demand differences across European regions.
This session, moderated by Dr. Ebun Akinsete (PhD) (AE4RIA), showcased the importance of science-based policy design and cross-border collaboration in scaling clean hydrogen technologies.
