On September 26, during Climate Week NYC, Professor Koundouri delivered the keynote address at the UNFCCC UN Climate Change Global Innovation Hub’s Tenth Systemic Innovation Workshop in New York. The Systemic Innovation Workshops are designed to accelerate the development and deployment of innovative technologies, policies, and business models for climate action and sustainability. They focus on identifying, developing, and effectively deploying innovative solutions, including technologies, financial instruments, cooperative approaches, and cultural and creative products.
AE4RIA, alongside the Global Innovation Hub and partners such as XPRIZE, the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network, and others, discussed on the design of a “City Challenge” to be announced at COP29 in Baku and launched at COP30. This initiative aims to deploy sustainability solutions over the next decade.
