32nd Panhellenic Statistics Conference, The Science of Statistics and its contribution to the Sustainable Development

On May 31^st, the 32nd Panhellenic Statistics Conferencetook place in Ioannina. The Conference highlighted the role of Statistics in the implementation of the sustainable development agenda and, consequently, its interdisciplinary nature and the possibilities for its use and application. In this context, the Conference presented modern methods of Mathematical and Computational Statistics for the management of large volumes of data, model development and the delivery of results in various areas directly related to sustainable development such as health, innovation, labor market, tourism, environment, sport. Among the scientific panel was Prof. Koundouri, who gave a speech on Sustainable Development and Innovation.
